Coverage, honestly
No source in this build states a price, so there is no price filter and nothing is marked free. Many of these events almost certainly are free — city parks programming generally is — but asserting that would be guessing, and guessing is the one thing this index doesn't do. An event with no stated price is unknown, not free.
Only 85.8% of events are placed to a neighborhood. The parks feed carries coordinates; the permitted-events feed gives a street description and a borough, so those events can be filtered by borough but not placed on a block. Geocoding those descriptions is the single highest-value next step for this site.

Rejected rows keep their titles so the classifier can be audited by reading a file rather than re-deriving the evidence.

The big one is league field permits. The city's permitted-events feed is mostly youth and adult sports bookings — real permits, but not things you can turn up to, so they are quarantined rather than listed.
What's missing
- Ticketed venues. Pioneer Works, Roulette, Le Poisson Rouge, the university lecture calendars — none are here yet, and they are the whole reason the project exists.
- Photos for events. No event feed here carries one. The places do, via Wikimedia Commons — everything else gets its category block.
- The last 30% of places. 518 location strings, mostly street intersections, that no park name matched and no geocoder resolved confidently. They are ranked by how many events ride on them.
- Prices and ticket links. Needs sources that publish them.
- Subway filtering. Designed, not built. Stations don't move, so it's a one-time static join against GTFS.
- Recurring series. The regular Tuesday thing is the most useful entity in the city and it isn't detected yet.
- Neighborhood "reach". Nobody lives inside a polygon — an edition should show what's nearby, weighted by how hard it is to get there, not just what falls inside an outline.
